From October 13 to December 1, 2019 the PAC - Padiglione d'Arte Contemporanea presents Nobody Anywhere Anyone, the largest solo show by Cesare Viel in a public space, which traces the performative practice of the artist centered on the union between visual and verbal representation.
Since the early 1990s, Cesare Viel has been exploring the construction and deconstruction of identity through performative actions and environmental installations. The concept of absence evoked by the title is linked to the artist's experience, from which springs a tale constantly connected with history, society, social conventions, the bond of closeness or distance with loved ones.
Performances, transformations, plays or songs: by entering into other bodies and stories, Cesare Viel imagines forms of subjectivity that interpret art as a moment of emotional exchange and relationship with the community. The exhibition presents new works and new versions of installations and historical performances, created by the artist in dialogue with the architecture of the PAC.
Free guided tours every Thursday at 19:00 (with special exhibition ticket, € 4) and Sunday at 18:00.
