In the wake of the shows - let's say - timeless, inspired by the golden past of art with the intention of referring to the contemporary, Triennale Milano Teatro proposes the choreographic adaptation of Tristan and Isolde by Wagner, a work signed by Saburo Teshigawara. What the Japanese choreographer (one of the greatest exponents of world dance) is about to present in the temple of contemporary Milano theater is a work of profound introspection, a touching disruption of the choreographic vocabulary that, since 1981, the year in which his career began, is the language of his art. On the notes of an immortal Wagner, Saburo proposes a dramatic pas de deux, plastic in his movements - accompanied by the faithful partner of art and life, Rihoko Sato. The unattainable love between Tristan and Isolde, such a heartbreaking passion, finds a home in contemporary dance, which links classical music with an obsessive and repetitive soundtrack of a single movement. So the Japanese choreographer returns to Milano an year after the show She, which has dragged the audience into an improvised and fresh dance. Teshigawara approaches his Japan in front of the Western public, connecting two worlds so far apart - such as those belonging to Tristan and Isolde. With a little imagination, their love will continue dancing even after death.
