Itinerary
The Darsena was the old river port of Milan, active until 1979.
Today the Darsena, upgraded and renovated, is surrounded by a pedestrian and cycle path, along which are located granite benches and wooden mooring at docks, wharves and green areas. All the route has paved surface compact and alternate, sometimes concrete and sometimes grit.
Some entrances to the Darsena have steps; to people with reduced mobility is recommended to enter Piazza XXIV Maggio (porphyry paving compact). After the square, keeping to the right, a stretch of road slightly sloping allows to access to the pedestrian and cycle area.
Alternatively, it is possible to access the Darsena from Via Gabriele D'Annunzio through an inclined ramp (slope 2,5%). The route continues along the Municipal Market (porphyry pavement and paved compact). It is possible to reach Piazzale General Cantore along a stretch slightly uphill.
Access to Viale Gorizia has 21 steps (17 cm and handrail on the right).
