Parking
At 30 meters far from the entrance there are 2 parking spaces reserved for people with permits for citizens with disabilities. It is also possible to park along Via Chiese on the blue lines.

Entrance
A large gate leads from the street to the courtyard. The main entrance has two consecutive series of three double swing doors (135 cm).

 

Reception
In the entrance hall there are:

  • the Info point (counter h 121 cm)
  • the ticket office (counter h 121 cm)
  • the bookshop.

It is possible to ask at the Info Point at the entrance for a wheelchair and/or folding chair to use in the exhibition spaces. A changing table is also available.
Visitors can use the Hangar Bicocca digital newsstand in order to download freely from smartphone and tablet the guides about the temporary shows and about the permanent installations.
Museum professionals are able to give information and hospitality.

 

Exhibition itinerary
Hangar Bicocca is dedicated to the promotion and production of contemporary art. This space is sited in a factory converted into a place dedicated to art and contemporary culture, used for exhibitions and installations. The exhibition pathway is very large, free of obstacles.
The rooms “HB Kids” and “HB Lab” are used for educational activities and games. Room “HB Kids” presents a double swing door (280 cm) and it is arranged with two tables with four legs (free space underneath h 70 cm), chairs and stools of different heights. Room “HB Lab” (seating for 70) is used for educational activities and even as a meeting room; it has a double swing door (190 cm).

 

Signage guidance
The building has:

  • directional arrows written in large letters (at least 7 cm) and well contrasted
  • symbols of the toilets well contrasted, at eye level, medium to large size.

 

Restrooms
There are two toilets equipped for people with disability.
The first is located on the ground floor near the Info point:

  • dressing with swing door (81 cm)
  • bathroom with swing door (91 cm)
  • suspended washbasin (frontal space 160 cm)
  • WC on the ground (frontal space 148 cm, right side 160 cm, left side 22 cm, horizontal grab bar on the right side)
  • changing unit for children.

The second toilet is located on the ground floor in the room "7 palazzi celesti". The toilet has:

  • a swing door (113 cm)
  • suspended washbasin (frontal space 138 cm)
  • WC on the ground (frontal space 135 cm, right side 21 cm, left side 138 cm, grab bar on both sides).

 

Bistrot
The Bistrot is located on the ground floor, to the right of the main entrance. It has a large indoor dining room (70 seats), furnished with square tables with a central leg (free space underneath 70 cm) and it has a veranda (30 seats).

 

Emergency exit
Emergency exit are pointed out. The alarm device is visual and acoustic.
