There will be three race formats for this 2021 special edition: the main race, the Charity Program and the Run Anywhere format.
The main race, starting at 07 AM, will be reserved for a maximum of 120 elite participants, invited by the organization, along with fast amateur runners who can claim a personal best time of less than 2h 45m.
The Charity Program, in which the official distance of 42,195 metres will be run on a fast 7.5 km circuit in a repeated loop, will gravitate around the City Life area, Milan’s dynamic and innovative new district. The departure from the starting line will be at 07 AM to enable the Charity relay race - which this year will be sponsored by Lenovo - to start at 10AM (with staggered starts until 4 PM). ‘Limited’ access to 2,500 teams. Departure from viale Boezio with the finish line in piazza Elsa Morante.
Last but not least, the third race format, Anywhere, is new for this edition and is expected to be replicated in future events, even after the end of the pandemic.
Any person, in any place around the world, will be able to participate in the relay and make their own charity contribution. The performances will be tracked by means of the dedicated App, or any GPS device, and uploaded to the event’s website.
If you wish to train for the race, we can recommend 3 running itineraries in the city created in collaboration with Generali Milano Marathon.
