Bicycling is an healthy, sustainable and practical way to travel around the city.
Milano has 144 km of cycling lanes.
Bike Sharing in Milano provides two types of service: bicycles available at docking stations or free-flowing (dockless) bicycles located around the city streets or on racks positioned throughout the city.
BIKES AVAILABLE AT DOCKING STATIONS
With the BikeMi Bike Sharing service you can buy daily, weekly or yearly tickets to rent the bikes of the docking stations. Tickets and annual subscription are available at the Atm Points (Duomo, Cadorna, Loreto, Central, Garibaldi and Romolo) or online.
The service offers both traditional and electric bicycles.
The map of the vehicle pick-up stations is available online at www.bikemi.com.
Rental is available for all users (from 16 years of age upwards) in possession of a credit card. In the case of annual membership, the card will be delivered to the home address.
The service operates 365 days a year from 07:00 to 24:00. The timetable is extended in spring/summer and during special events (for further information please go to the BikeMi News section).
FREE FLOATING BIKE SHARING SERVICE
The free floating bike sharing service is provided by Mobike.
The free floating bikes can be picked up through the app and dropped off everywhere at the end of the ride.
It is important that bicycles are parked appropriately so as not to cause obstruction to vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
BIKES IN THE SUBWAY
For those who can’t keep distance with their bikes, no worries! You can take them with you on the subway.
Bike transport is free. Each passenger with a valid transport ticket may transport up to one bicycle.
It’s recommended to check the subway service calendar and timetable by calling the Atm information number +390248607607, accessible every day from 7:30 to 19:30.
