Big data is the wave of the future. This program offers a unique blend of modern statistics and mathematics, the latest advancements in computer science, and Bocconi’s strong expertise in business. You will learn to use a variety of programming languages to apply theoretical statistical
knowledge to analyze real data. You will understand how to extract meaningful knowledge to inform business decisions. Graduates from the program will be able to lead the way in solving critical and complex real-world problems in the 21st century and beyond.
The program has two tracks that share a modern quantitative core: Data Science and Business Analytics. The Data Science track is for students who want to specialize in more theoretical topics, such as the development of new optimization algorithms or machine learning algorithms for Artificial Intelligence. Whereas the Business Analytics track is for students who want to apply the knowledge gained in a business context, making sense of data, making predictions and influencing organizations. Students develop a foundation in statistics and machine learning, as well as advanced skills in computer science, crucial for building algorithms and programming tools.
