To set foot in the San Siro Stadium is every football fan’s dream and this can now come true by visiting the San Siro Museum whose visitors’ tour ends up…right on the pitch!
After a recent innovative revamp, the Museum proudly holds its ranking as the temple of Milanese football and, with an exciting journey, it transports visitors through the historical events that made the Meazza stadium and all Italian football so great.
Don’t miss the chance to admire up close a selection of traditional jerseys from the two rival Milanese clubs, A.C. Milan and F.C. Internazionale Milano. Also those of the Italian National teams that have made the history of football, the Italians’ favourite sport, including the Azzurri’s unforgettable matches in the 1982 and 2006 World Cups.
Lots of other strips worn by the great champions, both past and present, who played for the top Italian and foreign teams can also be admired.
A Timeline showing the most important stages in the Stadium’s history, plus, some displays that document its growth in sync with the city of Milan and videos, photos and memorabilia enable the visitor to relive the moments that made it the monument it is today. The hundreds of thousands of tourists who visit it every year consider the venerated venue as "the La Scala of football".
You can also get a glimpse of the stadium’s behind-the-scenes secrets: step into the Inter and Milan changing rooms, go into the mixed zone and reach the access tunnel which opens onto the magical view of the hallowed San Siro turf, the biggest thrill for any football fan.
Then, if you’re an AC Milan fan, continue your journey in the historic Rossoneri places or, if you’re an Inter fan, nurture your passion with the Nerazzurri itinerary.
