AQUA. Leonardo da Vinci's vision

A special installation for Design Week in the city

Conca dell'Incoronata
Via San Marco

From 6 to 14 April 2019 the Conca dell'Incoronata is transformed into the location of a beautiful installation. The structure, named “AQUA. Leonardo da Vinci's vision”, is the result of the creativity of Marco Balich, organizer and curator of major events, which deals with the realization of international shows.

The work consists of a real structure built inside and above the Conca in the form of a large body of water, at the end of which there is a LED screen that shows images of a futuristic Milano. The screen projects the viewer into an imaginary future, which is however perceived as concrete by the very fact of being "seen", and therefore in some way of being experienced, in the eyes of the beholder.

A farsighted and innovative work, just like Leonardo da Vinci who, with his constructions of great technical and engineering level, aimed to overcome the limits of knowledge to make the unthinkable unthinkable.
Inside the canal a Wunderkammer will be created for visitors that will be able to live an exciting experience thanks to lights, sounds and images centered on the theme of water, an element that has always fascinated Leonardo and that has often placed itself in relation to his works.

The installation is promoted by the Salone del Mobile for the events spread in the city, on the occasion of Design Week, and is part of the appointments of Leonardo 500, the programme that celebrates the centenary of the death of the great Renaissance genius.
