From 13 to 17 November 2019 BookCity Milano, the great festival of books, reading and publishing that this year reaches its eighth edition, is back. More than 1500 events are planned, all free, which will involve publishers, booksellers, librarians, authors, illustrators, bloggers, students, professors and many other protagonists, with the aim of reaching readers of every age, habitual and occasional, as well as who has been a stranger to reading so far.
What makes this edition special is the rich presence of foreign authors. There will be two Nobel Prizes Wole Soyinka and Svjatlana Aleksievič, and novelist Fernando Aramburu. In addition, there will be the first stage of the Friendship Tour (which chose Milano as a starting point before touching Madrid, Berlin and Paris), with four British authors such as Lee Child, Ken Follett, Kate Mosse and Jojo Moyes who will discuss on Brexit.
BookCity will touch the whole city, with meetings, dialogues, shows, exhibitions and workshops that will see the participation of theatres, museums, schools, universities, bookstores but also prisons, hospitals and case delle Associazioni e del Volontariato.
