The Bianchini Cinema relights the 7x4 meter big screen in a non-conventional location. After the screenings in the secret crypt during the last 2018 winter season, the organization takes place currently among Cozzi Swimming Pool lanes which, with the latest initiatives, is also becoming a place of culture in the city. After having hosted Luke Jerram's mega moon last summer, opening the pool even at night under the light of the English artist's installation, Cozzi Swimming Pool reopens to art with Bianchini new programme, with the aim to push the cinematographic experience in a place that is not primarily intended for culture but for sport.
The selected films have a focus on the theme of water. Inside the public swimming pool, built in Milano in the 30s, you can watch movies and have dinners - thus making an immersive experience without diving or swimming. The public will sit on bastions, while terraces will host guests who want to have dinner there. The projection will instead take place at the edge of the pool.
On the program, films that have contributed to create the cinema history: Thief Hunt, Titanic, Roman Holiday, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Pearl Harbor, Bathing Beauties, The Abyss. This appointment will be "on air" for twenty-five weekends, until 7 January 2020.
