SOGGETTIVA

SOGGETTIVA will last until January the 3rd of the next year. It takes place every Friday with movies chosen by great exponents of arts (past editions have hosted Damien Hirst, Theaster Gates, Luc Tuymans, Nicolas Winding Refn and Pedro Almodovar’s choices). They propose a movie selection that has deeply influenced their own artistic and personal path. This time it's up to John Baldessari, the 88-year-old American conceptual artist, effective interpreter of different forms of visual expression concerning American cultural evolution, especially the one related to the West Coast. There are 11 films chosen by the Californian artist, all set in thriller and noir atmospheres, among them some indisputable masterpieces such as: Dracula by Tod Browning (1931), M - The monster of Düsseldorf by Fritz Lang (1931), Vertigo (1958) and North by Northwest (1959) by Alfred Hitchcock and much more.

INDAGINE

Every Saturday until December 14th, this INDAGINE section will occupy Prada Foundation cinema, proposing 6 first visions: James Gray's Ad AstraTodd Phillips's Joker, Ari Aster's MidsommarBong Joon-ho's Parasite, John Turturro's The Jesus Rolls and Vox Lux by Brady Corbet

ORIGINE

Sundays, until the 10th February, will be dedicated to ORIGINE, which proposes the "Screen-Core" project, curated by Luigi Alberto Cippini. There are 11 films made between 1971 and 1997, not really famous movies but able to be real laboratories for creative experimentation. They represent a precious source of inspiration for many young independent directors of the new millennium. Do not miss in this section the masterpiece The world on the wire by Rainer Werner Fassbinder - a film dated back to 1973 with a philosophical-sci-fi approach, which anticipated the concept of virtual reality by decades. The screenings will almost be projected in original language with subtitles and this would already be a good reason to appreciate Prada Foundation initiatives.
