The exhibition at Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci from February 20th to May 19th 2019 presents the scenographic installations of the Dutch artist Theo Jansen, real gigantic structures with a zoomorphic aspect that move thanks to the impulse of the wind.
Jansen, who has been defined as "a modern Leonardo da Vinci", combines in his works physical and scientific notions and humanistic inspirations, combining on the one hand the search for mechanical perfection and on the other the celebration of nature and its forms, in harmony with the spirit of the great Renaissance genius that united art, science and technology together. Also, for this reason, the Museum of Science and Technology decided to present its creations in the year in which we celebrate the 500th anniversary of Leonardo's death.
