Talented artist Trisha Baga is on view at Pirelli HangarBicocca with a chaotic, eclectic and postmodern exhibition with a funny and surrealist title “the eye, the eye and the ear”. We could describe it as a visual mash-up that mixes installations, ceramic sculptures and pop-culture through an unusual and surprising approach: from science-fiction to Madonna, from old legends to digital devices such as Alexa Echo.
“The eye, the eye and the ear” is an aesthetical journey where tv-shows are mixed with experimental cinema and home-movies; the aim of this visual project is that to face up with themes such as gender-identity, the relationship between real and digital world and the technological progress. The approach to all this is satyrical and full of humor. The display of the exhibition is closed to the set-up of a natural history museum; where some atworks are closed to the idea of fossils and put in relation with technological devices, creating a vortex temporum 2.0. The purpose? Understanding the present, before the show is over and the light is out.
