In Italy, “Ferragosto” is different from other celebrations because cities and towns often organize a session of fireworks which illuminates the sky. Starting from this tradition, Estate Sforzesca brings fires to the Castle - fires of music and art. This summery symbol is going to live thanks to the Orchestra Musicale La Verdi, one of the most active and popular ensemble of Milan, tonight directed by Riben Jais, in a trip to the notes of compositions written by great musicians.
The schedule expects executions of Stravinskij’s "Fireworks" op. 4, Händel’s "Music for the Royal Fireworks" and Čajkovskij’s "Ouverture Solennelle 1812" accompanied by synchro video-projections curated by Studio Antimateria. This is a free party in one of the most suggestive locations of the City which makes music rings out in the sky.
