"Giselle" at La Scala Theatre
The famous ballet gets back to La Scala Theatre
The curtain is closed. The silence divides the stage from the audience. In the front row, the public breathes slightly. Everybody is waiting for a motion - the pure gold chandelier does not spark anymore. Then lights switch on. All elegant dancers start moving - among them it is possible to recognize Giselle, beautiful and modest farmer, with a snow white tutu.
The dancer is Svetlana Zakharova, La Scala theatre étoile from 2008. Even if the ballet star is loyal to performances with Roberto Bolle, in this event she dances with David Hallberg - the guest from the States.
In this international mood, Giselle is ready to touch the public at large among steps and grand jeté which represent love, betrayal, death and legend. Let’s wear our favorite dress because a night at La Scala theatre lasts forever.
