In September the 15th, Sheela Gowda exhibition is going to close at Pirelli HangarBicocca. All enormous areas set in the north of Milano have been occupied for over six months with Gowda works. The researches, Nuria Enguita and Lucia Aspesi, have created an art path among fabrics, scrubs, stones, natural leftovers - items that represent a spiritual value and the Land where the artist comes from. The exhibition, full of feminine temperament, historicizes the whole Gowda art path from 1996 - the beginning of her artistic research - until today.
This is a dichotomous retrospective that activates a dialogue between the exhibition area - cold and grey, seemingly boundless - and Indian spiritual values. Small and big rooms, ambients built for Milano specifically, create different micro-worlds where it is possible to breathe a motion art which tastes of politics and emotions. Enjoy your last visit!
