A communication project that collects and puts online the initiatives hosted in the Tortona area, always a destination visited by thousands of people. The program includes exhibitions and installations of Italian and international design, from renowned designers to young talents, as well as guided tours to discover emblematic buildings and the main cultural realities in the neighbourhood.
Vanity Fair will set up a lounge in the heart of the Tortona District for Milan Design Week, an oasis where you can enjoy a moment of relaxation, to learn about and discover the best of Fuorisalone.
Milano Space Makers launches the fourth edition of its Tortona Rocks!, an exhibition and communication concept whose fulcrum is the complex Opificio 31. DESIGNING AWARENESS is the theme of the 2019 edition, which proposes an articulated cross-section and a complex point of view on industrial design and contemporary issues. Another content that contributes to reinforcing the identity of the Opificio is Scivola, a “design for all” project with civic and social aims, which aims to create a handbook or manual to be proposed to exhibiting companies as a vademecum to increase accessibility of events to the disabled public.
A cultural manifestation of eco-design with a display of objects inspired by the works of Leonardo da Vinci - made with recycled materials - and workshops to promote self-production, recycling, re-use practices that favour the reduction of environmental impact.
Inside Material Village, the Material ConneXion hub dedicated to materials, new technologies, design and sustainability, Marie Claire Maison realizes an interior decoration project for a contemporary building, where celebrating beauty as an authentic expression of design and where the layout of the spaces is guided by a harmonious synthesis of functionality and aesthetics.
The official presentation of the three-year project inspired by global/local climate change and sustainability, with the aim of recovering the relationship between man and nature and studying the issues related to anthropic pressure on the planet's balance. There will be moments of confrontation, talks and workshops.

Presentazione delle ultime novità da tutto il mondo del design, tecnologia, life-style in un panorama che unisce sotto il segno della qualità grandi brand e start-up, archistar e giovani progettisti, produzioni industriali e proposte di artigianato d'autore.
In occasione della Design Week è in programma la mostra BLOOP SHOWCASE, parte di un progetto denominato BLOOP MILANO composto da questa attività, da quella parte del bando alle periferie chiamata BLOOP EXPERIENCE MILANO - attività integrata di rigenerazione urbana e sociale attraverso la combinazione di più componenti modulari di progetto - e da una per bimbi chiamata BLOOP KIDS.
Un progetto di design del verde per la riqualificazione del Piazzale Stazione di Porta Genova ed in particolare di un'area dismessa all'interno della stazione stessa, dove è stata creata "una piazza nella piazza", uno spazio ristoro e sala d'attesa per ospitare non solo i viaggiatori in arrivo e partenza, ma anche le persone del quartiere, cittadini di altre zone e visitatori da ogni parte del mondo. Un'occasione di incontro e condivisione. A delimitare gli spazi una grande vasca da serra con una coltivazione di piante ornamentali, officinali ed edibili.

Lucrezia Kauffmann propone il lavoro progettato in collaborazione con l'Istituto italiano di Fotografia e Liquid Eye Gallery: una interpretazione del connubio tra le borse LK e l'artista Lucio Fontana, da cui sono nate giocose, ironiche e creative fotografie.
