A decidedly interesting combination is about to start at Teatro alla Scala. On one hand Hans Van Manen, the Dutch famous choreographer, was missing from the milanese theater since 1988. On the other, Roland Petit returns to this stage with the evocative duet Le combat des anges, based on one of his masterful successes Proust, ou les intermittences du coeur; and with the existentialist masterpiece Le Jeune homme et la Mort - emblematic title that in 1955 started the partnership between La Scala and Petit.
Five choreographic gems will be performed, and they will bring names such as Nicoletta Manni and Roberto Bolle, two of the most acclaimed Italian dancers of all time. The ballet season continues with great success, with this new stage showing an original dance on the notes of chamber music. Being among the audience of the Teatro alla Scala is a precious opportunity that those who live or visit Milano cannot miss.
