Christmas on the right note

Between music, art and.... white hot chocolate!

Clizia Gurrado Writer and radio host

Here I am at the Castello Sforzesco to pay a visit to the spinet, a small harpsichord that is said to have been played by a very young Mozart during one of his Milanese stays. The symphonies composed by the prodigy of Salzburg are the soundtrack to these days of celebration and accompany me to the painting of the Adoration of the Magi by Tiziano, held at the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana. My passion for art also leads me to Palazzo Marino in Piazza della Scala, where I find the Adoration of the Magi by Perugino, in the monumental Sala Alessi, where every year I would like to remain up to the Epiphany in admiration of the masterpieces of international paintings.

If the festivities are a pleasure for the soul, so are the for the palate with the taste of white chocolate, an unmissable speciality of the bistro of via Brera. Its windows overlook the Rigadritto stationery, where I love to buy unique and original greeting cards. And then the Nutcracker, without Čajkovskij's ballet is not Christmas. This year it is staged at the Teatro alla Scala with the choreography by Balanchine. A real gift for great connoisseurs and true enthusiasts. I already feel like the Sugar Plum Fairy. Actually, I am Dewdrop. And the Prince is waiting for me, I have to go. Happy Holidays.
