For major trade fairs and sporting events special measures are implemented to protect the well-being of citizens and the public transport service is increased. As for shopping in Milan, all major stores open their doors almost every day of the week. Furthermore, thanks to liberalisation, many shops - even small ones - are open on weekends, including Sundays and many public holidays. For further information regarding store times and museum opening hours please visit individual websites.
