Corso Venezia

Shopping among Liberty palaces and museums

Corso Venezia

Known as one of the most elegant avenues in Milano, it is one of the famous four streets framing the Quadrilatero della Moda connecting Piazza San Babila to Corso Buenos Aires. It lures shoppers away from the luxury area to the decidedly more affordable stores that cater for all tastes. The beautifully lavish Liberty buildings at the beginning of the street reflect the noble but unruffled spirit of the Milanese bourgeoisie.

INTERESTING FACTS

Corso Venezia is the ancient Corso di Porta Orientale: it was so-called because it was the route that led to the eponymous city gate (now called Porta Venezia) from which the ancient roads to Monza and Bergamo departed. It is adjacent to one of the city’s most beautiful green spaces, the Indro Montanelli Gardens.
