Municipal Museum of Natural History

Dinosaurs and dioramas to discover the history of Earth

Corso Venezia, 55

Dinosaurs, minerals, plants, molluscs and huge animals: if you are a science enthusiast do not miss out on the Museum of Natural History in Milan!

The museum is housed in a neo-Gothic palazzo inspired by the style of the British Natural History Museum in London. In 1943 it was targeted by bombings that triggered a devastating fire, and the current appearance is due to a massive restoration in 2013. It has 23 exhibition rooms spread over 5,500 sqm, where visitors can explore the secrets of Mineralogy and Geology, Palaeontology and Zoology.

The unique layout where the themes of the evolution of Life on Earth and the relationship between organisms and the environment are displayed enable visitors of all ages to experience the wonderful adventure of the discovery of natural history. Younger guests will of course be thrilled by the much-admired dinosaur room!

Be prepared to be astounded by the life-size skeletons of gargantuan creatures from prehistory
