13 stories from the street. Homeless photographers

A journey from the periphery to the heart of the city

Gallerie d’Italia
Piazza della Scala, 6

From 28 May to 1 September 2019 the Gallerie d’Italia, in Piazza della Scala, host 13 storie dalla strada. Fotografi senza fissa dimora (13 stories from the street. Homeless photographers), an exhibition that wants to tell a story and be told. The photographs on display are the works of art of 13 homeless people as part of the photography school promoted by RISCATTI Onlus and supported by Fondazione Cariplo in collaboration with the Municipality of Milano, which is part of the integration and social reintegration projects carried out by RISCATTI.

The path documents 13 of the many activities that Fondazione Cariplo supports in Lombardy, and consists, in addition to images, of some video-interviews with photographers, aimed at showing the reality and everyday life of these people who live on the margins, and that too often they are ignored by society.
