Exhibitions in Milano in 2019 and highlights 2020

For the two-year period 2019-2020 the city of Milano has in store a program of prestigious exhibitions, full of art, history and culture, which will take the visitor by the hand and accompany him on an exciting journey made of colors, shades, charm and beauty.

 

2019 will be the year marking the anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci, which has passed exactly 500 years (1519-2019). For the occasion there will be many events dedicated to him and his works, for example the exhibitions “Leonardo e la Sala delle Asse“ and “Sotto l'ombra del Moro“ which will lead visitors to discover the extraordinary drawings that Leonardo made in Sala delle Asse in honor of Ludovico il Moro.

 

But this isn’t over, yet. We will have many events dedicated to culture, like “Giacomo Leopardi - Infinito Incanto”, “Milano Città Mondo #04 Perù” and “Australia”.

 

There will also be many exhibitions dedicated to art: for example “Antonello da Messina - Dentro la pittura““Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres - La vita artistica al tempo dei Bonaparte““Roy Lichtenstein Edition”, “Giorgio de Chirico”, “The Art Side of Kartell”, “I Preraffaelliti e l’Italia”, “Antonio Canova - Teste ideali”, which investigates the works called "ideal heads" by Antonio Canova at the height of his career, and “Sogni d'Oriente - Monet, Van Gogh, Gauguin, gli italiani e il Giappone”, an exhibition focused on Japanese art and the influence it has had towards Impressionism.

 

Last but not least, the exhibitions dedicated to cinema and photography like “Federico Fellini", “Marinella Pirelli - Cinema Sperimentale”, “Bob Krieger - Living through fashion ’60, ’70, ’80, ‘90”, e “Rifugi urbani - Foto di Paola Di Bello”.
