From May 15 to September 15, 2019 the MUDEC hosts a photographic exhibition dedicated to the Chinese artist Liu Bolin, entitled Visible Invisible. Through the use of body painting, the technique of painting the human body, Liu Bolin tries to camouflage the subjects of his photos with the background of the photos themselves, making them almost evanescent, as if slowly melting with what they have around, becoming visible and invisible at the same time.
This form of art, which combines photography and mimetic representations, wants to denounce the social problems and contradictions of the contemporary world, investigating in depth the relationship between the civilization created by man and man himself. The photographic image takes on the creative expression of the artist, revealing the full will to shed light on the most ambiguous and hidden sides of modernity.
