When Riccardo Cocciante and Luc Plamondon wrote the music of Victor Hugo's novel, they did not actually want to adapt the book for theatre. But Pasquale Panella added words which turned the work into a perfect musical. The same work that, after seventeen years, accompanied by music and dance, tells the timeless and dramatic story between Esmeralda and Quasimodo. The heartrending love story comes back to Arcimboldi Theatre stage in front of general audience that is waiting for the big show.
Today, Notre Dame De Paris collected 1246 encore performances and numerous prizes, such as the ones received at IMA (Italian Music Awards) - the best social and classical show and the best soundtracks. This year more than ever, the theatre makes the most ancient building of Paris relive after the tragic fire of the last 15th April.
