Parking
It is possible to park in the public parking near the Charterhouse. About 20 meters away from the main gate of the Charterhouse there is a parking space reserved to disabled parking permit holders.

Entrance
The entrance to Garegnano Charterhouse is a wide gate (280 cm); to get to the entrance it is necessary to go through two cloisters. The main entrance has 3 consecutive steps (11 cm high each), a double leaf door (127 cm) and, on both sides, two hinged doors (82 cm).
The secondary entrance, equipped for people with disability (opened during Masses and guided tours) is on the right side of the church at about 30 m. The path is paved with hard surface. The secondary entrance has a gate (112 cm wide), a second door (90 cm wide) and a 6 m stretch with firm road surface.

 

Interior spaces
The abbey was  founded in 1349 and was later renovated by order of Carlo Borromeo, in the late 16th century. The central nave, the chapels and the chapter house are fully accessible.
It is possible to get to the exhibition hall from a third cloister, on the right side of the abbey overcoming 1 step (16 cm) and a hinged door (80 cm wide). To visit the altar and the choir you must overcome 2 steps (15 cm high each). The church has several pews (seat height: 46 cm).

 

Restrooms
There are two restrooms. In the second cloister (1 step outside:  17 cm high) there are two restrooms that can be used only during events.
