How to get there by public transport

Parking
There are three parking spaces reserved for disabled pass holders in via Rivoli (25 m). It is also possible to park on the blue lines.

Information for visitors

The Piccolo Teatro manages 3 theatres: its historical headquarter, the Teatro Grassi, the Teatro Studio Melato and the Teatro Strehler.  For the hearing impaired, visually impaired people and for people that are civil invalids with an assessed disability equal or over 66%, there is a reduction of 50% on ticket price while a free ticket is provided to their companion. Tickets can be bought at the Teatro Strehler's box office, by showing an identity document and a Certificate of Disability or by calling the box office at the following number: tel. + 39 02 42411889.

 

Entrance
The entrance to the theatre has a threshold (2 cm) and two consecutive, manual, double leaf doors (135 cm wide).

 

Reception
On the ground floor there are:

  • the box office (counter height: 115 cm) opens one hour prior to the events
  • the bar
  • the cloakroom (counter height: 115 cm.).

 

Interior spaces and theatre hall
The building has a circular plan and covers 4 floors, linked by flights of stairs, with a handrail on the left. From the ground floor, it is possible to reach the first floor using a stairlift with a platform for wheelchairs.
From the box office, there are two arches (103 cm and 133 cm wide) to the stalls, where there are 4 places for wheelchair users and 4 seats for their companions: 2 wheelchair places on the right side with two seats for their companions (row 1, seats 5 and 6), and 2 wheelchair places on the left side with 2 seats for their companions (row 1, seats 51 and 52). 

 

Restrooms
The accessible bathroom has these features:

  • dressing door: 98 cm wide
  • bathroom door: 89 cm wide
  • suspended washbasin (clear floor area: in front 92cm)
  • floor-standing toilet on a step (height: 51 cm, clear floor area: in front 163 cm; on the right side: 117 cm; on the left side: 20 cm; grab bars on both sides).

 

Orientation signage
In the building there are directional arrows with high contrast and large lettering (at least 7 cm).

 

Bar
The bar (counter height: 115 cm) has a relaxation area with sofas.
