Interiors
The church was built in 1503 and was monastery of Benedectine nuns. It is also called “The Cappella Sistina of Milan” because all the internal walls are adorned with fine frescoes from the Sixteenth century, some of them by Bernardino Luini's school. The interior, with a rectangular plan, is divided in half by a frescoed wall.

The first half was opened to the faithfuls and can be accessed directly from the main entrance (Corso Magenta). The second half, the so-called “Aula delle monache” (the nuns' room) was at that time reserved to nuns and today we can still admire a precious wooden choir; it can be accessed using the secondary path for disabled people. To reach the “Aula delle Monache” from the open area, you find: an open gate on the left side of the altar; 1 step (16 cm high), a passage (75 cm wide) 2 steps (16 cm high each), another passage (88 cm wide) and a small ramp (slope of 3%).

Accessibility for people with sensory impairments
An information panel about the church (85 cm from the ground) contains a brief description in Italian, English, and in Braille. The central part of this panel contains a plan of the building in relief and a tactile and visual representation of the facade. By scanning a QR Code or NFC with a smartphone, it is possible to access contents in different operating modes: audio mode for people with sight impairment and video with subtitles and text translation into LIS sign language for persons with hearing impairment. A brief introduction to the history of the church is followed by a description of the building, of several works of art and of the facade.
