Information for visitors
Guided tours are available for the Stadium and for the Museo di San Siro; in the stadium there are Family Friendly areas and a strollers depot; courtesy baby carriers are available, too.

 

Entrance
The main entrance has a swing door (121 cm) and a path of about 30 meters with soil (2,5 cm) and a swing door (110 cm).

 

Reception
The ticket office staff (counter height 120 cm) uses a dialogue system speaker.

 

Lift
The lift that links the ground and the first floor ( red grandstand) has these features:

  • door 72 cm, cabin 102x126 cm,
  • raised control panel (maximum height 128 cm),
  • acoustic and visual signal for arrival at the floor.

The Museum is on two floors linked by a lift. Main features:

  • door 80 cm, cabin 100x130 cm,
  • raised and in Braille control panel (maximum height 100 cm),
  • acoustic and visual signal for arrival at the floor.

 

Exhibition itinerary
The Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, the largest in Italy, it has been called ‘La Scala del Calcio'. It is mainly dedicated to football competitions, but it also hosts big events. Inaugurated on 1926, it was later expanded and renewed.
The route begins with an internal tour of the ‘Mix Zone' and the corridors (width 110 cm) where the players are interviewed. From here it begins the dressing rooms area with swing door (123 cm). People with motor disability can access the dressing rooms area passing through the Executive Room (swing door 122 cm). From here it is possible to reach directly the covered outdoor area in the lateral side of the field. The visit continues with the playing field and the red grandstand. To access the playing field there are 2 steps (17 cm); alternatively, people with disabilities can use a route with a short ramp (gradient 21%).
It is possible to reach the red grandstand going overcoming 2 flights of stairs (14 steps of 15 cm) or by using the lift. The spaces here are wide and accessible.
The stadium tour ends with a visit to the Museum, where the two teams display a collection of historical t-jerseys, cups, trophies and shoes.
The museum entrance, sited after the turnstiles in an independent building, can be reached overcoming an inclined ramp (slope 3%) and a manual swing door (198 cm). The Museum is on two floors linked by a lift.
On the ground floor there are multimedia stations (touch monitors at 88 cm from the floor) with information, games and quizzes on Milan and Inter. Note the Braille panels and a tactile model of the stadium (89cm from the ground).
On the first floor there are display cabinets (h 93 cm) with historical photos of the San Siro Stadium and historical jerseys of the two Milano-based teams.

 

Restrooms
In front of the dressing rooms there is a restroom. Main features:

  • outer room and inner room (door 80 cm),
  • WC on the ground (frontal space 138 cm; right-hand space 40 cm; left-hand space 35 cm)
  • “sala Soft” with baby changing unit; in order to enter to the “sala Soft” it is necessary to overcome 1 step (h 4 cm) and a swing door (80 cm).

The two toilets equipped for people with disability sited in the Sala Executive have these features:

  • outer room and inner room (door 90 cm),
  • washbasin (frontal space 130 cm)
  • WC on the ground (h 51 cm, frontal space 128 cm; right-hand space 130 cm; left-hand space 22 cm; horizontal grab bar on the left side).

On the ground floor of the Museum area there is a toilet equipped for people with disability. Main features:

  • dressing room (door 82 cm),
  • washroom (door 85 cm),
  • WC on the ground (h 46 cm, frontal space 120 cm; right-hand space 20 cm; left-hand space 105 cm; horizontal grab bar on the right side),
  • baby changing unit.

 

Bar/Café
Outside the Sala Executive there is a bar with a swing door (150 cm). The bar (seating for 35) is arranged with a counter (h 116 cm), square tables with four legs (free space underneath 71 cm).
