  • Degree: Undergraduate
  • Language: Italiano

The School of New Technologies of the Arts (corresponding to "Art and Media" in the European art academies and faculties) aims to train artistic operators, preparing them in all forms of digital arts and multimedia languages ??(innovation anthropology, interactive environments and systems, digital animation and modeling, computer graphics and computer games, multimedia performing arts and events, photography and cinematography, multimedia script and dramaturgy, direction, video shooting and editing, sound and light design video installations, history and semiotics of art contemporary, history of contemporary music, arts of the Net, web design and webmaster, etc.). New technologies have profoundly transformed society, and with it the world of art, its languages ??and the role of the artist, creating new horizons of the imaginary and new connections between aesthetics, ethics, philosophy and scientific disciplines. The educational offer reflects this variety of laboratory and theoretical approaches that together draw a complete, articulated and interdisciplinary training to guide the student to a conscious and evolved creative and artistic activity. Art has the ability and also the need to transform the technique into a language, making its expressive potential emerge. The School of "New Technologies of the Art" does not have the characteristics and aims of a technical school and does not intend to support the commercial development models of the new media, but rather to evaluate the trends in place with a critical spirit and an orientation towards research and artistic experimentation. In this sense, while focusing on innovation, it remains consistent with the nature and tradition of the Fine Arts Academies, which at the level of university education, pursue a training model that combines theoretical knowledge and artistic practices. Course taught in Italian.
