Autunno a Milano: BAM e Bosco Verticale. Pic. by Alberto Gasparin

Autumn in Milano

Milano in the fall is intriguing and mesmerizing. Chestnuts and lime trees change foliage, the fog returns, the weather is still warm, but light changes and it’s wet at night. It’s the best season of the year to appraise the comfort of traditional Milanese cuisine: risotto and ossobuco, pizzoccheri and polenta. This is also the best season to read and study, and Milano is a city where books are loved, and there’s thehighest density of bookstores and libraries in Italy. So take a walk in a Milanese park and enjoy dusk in Brera or Porta Venezia. Autumnal sunsets are so dramatic!
