  • shoot your video in a calm, quiet area, as close as possible to your phone/ a microphone (tip microphone mounted on your earbuds is an option to have a mic on you) evaluate and try to avoid noises around you. Microphones are not selective as the human ear!
  • before starting talking or shooting a scene, start the recording and count mentally: one, two, three it will help the image steadyness, you to focus on what to say and ease the edit process!
  • put yourself in good light (eg. in front of a window, not to speak of more professional lighting)
  • Be careful to whar appears the background and privacy-sensitive details in the video. The lesser things happening in the background, the easier the editing.
  • You can edit the video (e.g. cropping unnecessary footage at the beginning or the end), but don't add music and a soundtrack if you send it as a contribution to be edited.
  • ask the permission to all people involved in the video

· If you are not Chinese: if you celebrate it event if you are not Chinese, see the point above If you don't usually celebrate this festivity, but you know it, tell us in the video if 1.have you ever celebrated it in some ways here or back in your country (for example taking part to the celebrations of the China Town in your city, or with some Chinese friends), or, 2. What do you know about this festivity

· no matter you are Chinese or non Chinese: just show your talent (you can sing, dance, draw something, say a joke, say what do you expect for this year, can be your personal expectations or for the world in general) and wish a happy Chinese New Year to everybody!

My Special Valentine's Day

WHY:

On the 14th of February is Saint Valentine’s day. We’d like to show our fellow students that Milano, apart from being a wonderful city where to study, work and enjoy life, it’s also the place where you can find your beloved one. Maybe an Italian guy or girl, or maybe another international student or expat as you.

WHAT TO DO: If you are one of the ones who found the love here, and you with your loved one / partner / husband would like to share your story with others, you should send us a short video where you tell us about how you met.

TIPS&REQUIREMENTS FOR SHOOTING:

Shoot the video on horizontal format.

Length: 15 sec- 1 min

It would be nice if both you&your partner tell together about how did you met in Milano. We suggest you to open up with a greeting, say your names, where are you from, how did you meet, one adjective or sentence each of you to say what do you like about each other. Upload the video file and the release form below!
