March in Milano, the art month

Art Week and MIART, from March 28th to April 3rd

During the month of March, Milano becomes a visual and cultural hub for modern and contemporary art with an extensive calendar of events covering both Milan Art Week and Miart.

 

Museums, art venues, private foundations and design spaces offer a packed programme of exhibitions, initiatives, performances, inaugurations and special openings.

MILANO MARATHON 20th EDITION

April 3rd

The Milano Marathon is getting ready to celebrate its 20th edition by returning to its classical format with: the Marathon, the Relay Marathon, the School Marathon and the Marathon Village.

 

Thanks to the exceptional 2021 results it has now entered the pantheon of world marathons. It recorded the best men's and women's time trials for 2021 and is now ranked as the third-fastest marathon ever in the men's race (after Berlin and London).

23rd International Exhibition at the Triennale and other Design events

From May 20th to November 20th - Triennale

Unknown Unknowns. An Introduction to Mysteries - The upcoming 23rd International Exhibition at Triennale will accompany visitors on an exploratory journey full of wonder with its protagonists: artists, designers, musicians, curators and institutions from all over the globe.

A space for open and plenary confrontation on converging different views and perspectives: from the evolution of the city to the oceans, genetics and astrophysics.

 

You can also take the opportunity to visit the Italian Design Museum and other exhibitions dedicated to design and architecture or visual, scenic and performing arts.

We suggest the new permanent installation Casa Lana by the architect and designer Ettore Sottsass.

MILANO DESIGN WEEK

From June 7th to 12th

Ready to immerse yourself in a major city totally invaded by design?

 

From June 7th to 12th Milano will become the ‘hunting ground’ for new horizons, innovative themes and creative apps of the most pioneering design trends available.

EUROBASKET

From September 2nd to 8th

From September 2nd to 8th, great European basketball steps into the arena in Milano with Eurobasket, the European Championship of one of the city’s most beloved sports.

24 teams have qualified for the tournament, including Italy, Germany, Russia and France.

 

The Assago Mediolanum Forum (Milano) will host Group C matches which will see Italy, Greece, Croatia, Estonia, Ukraine and Great Britain competing in the stadium.

UNDER-21 TENNIS IN MILAN WITH THE NEXT GEN ATP FINALS

From November 8th to 12th - Allianz Cloud Stadium

Milano will host the world’s top U21 tennis players who will compete in the Next Gen ATP Finals at the Allianz Cloud Stadium in November.

MONET, CATTELAN, STEINBERG: EXHIBITIONS NOT TO BE MISSED

Early 2022

If visiting Milano during the first months of the year - maybe in anticipation of the great Titian exhibition, from February at Palazzo Reale - you might want to catch some of these exhibitions before they close:

 

  • Monet’s famous water lilies and the splendid French and London landscapes at Palazzo Reale (until January 30th)
  • the powerful visual language of Maurizio Cattelan’s Breath Ghosts Blind, a symbolic representation of the cycle of life that draws upon the contemporary world, at Pirelli Hangar Bicocca until February 20th
  • Saul Steinberg's unmistakable urban graphics at Triennale (until March 13th)

MILANO FASHION WEEK MEN'S COLLECTION

From January 14th to 18th

The men's fashion shows dedicated to autumn/winter 2022/2023 return to Milano from January 14th to 18th, 2022.

 

You can follow Milano Fashion Week shows and presentations on milanofashionweek.cameramoda.it or view them in live streaming on the jumbotron in Piazza San Babila, in the heart of the Milanese Fashion District.

MILANO FASHION WEEK

From February 22nd to 28th

From February 22nd to 28th, 2022Milano Moda Donna returns to the city to create a buzz with its fashion shows, presentations and scheduled events: all the latest prèt-à-porter trends from both famous fashion houses and up-and-coming Italian fashion designers.

Organised by the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, the event will showcase the Autumn/Winter 2022/23 womenswear collections

WHITE presenta "SIGN OF THE TIMES"

From February 24th to 27th

Once again, the fashion concept trade show WHITE will play a leading role in the upcoming Women's Fashion Week with new communication systems and platforms to connect creative designers and international operators. It operates in collaboration with CNMI (National Chamber of Italian Fashion) and CSM (Camera Showroom Milano) to create a fashion system for the promotion of Made In Italy and of Milano’s global reputation.

 

For February 2022, WHITE presents WSM - White Sustainable Milan as part of Fashion Week, the first networking and visibility platform for responsible innovation and sustainability.
