Duomo di Milano, Castello Sforzesco and Roberto Bolle: three legendary symbols of Italy and Milano will come together for an unmissable evening. Roberto Bolle, principal dancer étoile at the La Scala in Milano, will star in ‘L'opera meravigliosa’, the dance performance at Estate Sforzesca on September 7th at 9:00pm. The event is a fundraiser for the restoration of the Duomo’s main spire which supports the precious golden statue of the Madonnina, the important religious and civic symbol of Milano in the world.
Bolle is devoted to the city and its cultural treasures and, during the build-up to the performance, he will also be organizing and starring in Ondance, the huge gathering at the Castello that transforms the city into a mega dance party with classes, shows and special surprises. It is open to all: to devoted fans, to those who want to approach this fascinating world or to those who simply want to enjoy the show.
This love for dance and the city will culminate in the performance on September 7th, an unmissable opportunity to admire Bolle’s unique talent, set against the magnificent backdrop of the Castello Sforzesco, and an opportunity to contribute to the preservation of the precious Milanese monument. Tickets are on sale on Mailticket.
In addition to the live performance, an ad hoc video will be presented during the evening in which Bolle traces the history of the Duomo through a guided tour of its 'treasure room', the Grande Museo del Duomo, which testifies to the Veneranda Fabbrica’s commitment to the construction and curation of the monument - from 1387 to the present day - made possible thanks to the generosity of the entire Milanese population.
The video will be accessible to the public on the Intesa Sanpaolo, Duomo di Milano and Arte Danza social media channels.
The event is also accompanied by a fundraiser to generate finance for the restoration: please click on this link if you wish to make a donation.
