Monza and Lodi

Two out-of-town destinations north and south of Milano, to recharge your batteries with a day trip.

The noble charm of the Monza’s Villa Reale (Royal Palace) with its beautiful park makes you think of Versailles; the rural landscape and the medieval character of Lodi will delight you while you eat the typical desserts of this land by the Adda and Po rivers.

Monza

Monza welcomes you with the ethereal Villa Reale and its splendid Park with an orthogonal plan, which recalls the gardens of Versailles and the Royal Palace of Caserta.

Do not miss the Cathedral, which preserves the Chapel of Teodolinda, queen of the Longobards, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, and Ponte dei Leoni (Bridge of Lions) on the Lambro River. For the sports-minded there is the Monza Circuit, one of the most race tracks of the world for cars and motorbikes, inaugurated in 1922, where every year in September the fastest pilots of the world compete in the Formula 1 Grand Prix. If you wonder, the last Ferrari victory in Monza was in 2019.

Lodi

Lodi offers its visitors multiple opportunities: a green break that can have a romantic side (for example, leaving for a "mini-cruise" along the Adda river), a cultural escapade between castles and museums, without forgetting some gluttony, which in Lodi means tasting typical cheeses, macaroons and biscuits.
