The exhibition at the Fabbrica del Vapore from November 8th 2019 to June 28th 2020 and from September 12th presents in a surprisingly detailed way one of the oldest historical testimonies of the great Chinese culture of the first centuries BC and the foundation of the Empire: the terracotta army, the sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China.
It constitutes the most complete and faithful reproduction of the spectacular necropolis found in the province of Xi'an in the territory of eastern China, discovered by chance in 1974 by three farmers.
The route allows the visitor to make an extraordinary journey into China of 2,200 years ago, thanks to the perfect reconstructions of the objects found that make it the most complete and accurate exhibition ever made on the subject.
About 1400 m² divided into 11 sections, they house more than 300 perfect reproductions of objects, statues, weapons, war chariots, armour, ceramics, coins, objects of the daily life of the time. Do not miss the perfect reproduction of a section of the pit n.1, with the suggestive presence of over 170 life-size warriors.
All objects made with the precious clay of the place by skilled Chinese artisans of the Xi'an region, according to ancient techniques handed down for generations.
