From 9 to 14 April 2019 the MUDEC, Museum of Cultures, hosts the event A new moka is blooming on the occasion of the Milano Design Week. Alessi, a brand of excellence in Italian design, presents the new Moka, the moka pot designed by architect David Chipperfield, and does so with an exhibition that tells the past and present of this everyday object, linked to a ritual, coffee, as universal as it is essential.
The exhibition, entitled "Moka Alessi. Design & Re-Design. From Richard Sapper (1979) to David Chipperfield (2019)", tells the evolution of coffee makers in the history of Alessi.
But it doesn't end there. During the week, the Museum Bistrot is transformed into MOKERIA, a pop space designed to celebrate the usual gesture of preparing and savoring coffee. Through an explosion of yellow and cyan colors, the Bistrot takes on new life and transports the public into a world of lightness and fantasy, where you can give yourself some time and carve out a moment of relaxation.
