Check out these addresses of dog-friendly shores, either with parasols and deckchairs to hire or with free access, where you and your four-legged friends will be welcomed and you can both enjoy chilling out!

Darsena Beach

The Dog Sunny Beach inside the Lido Darsena at Pisogne, Lake Iseo has a space dedicated to dogs and their owners. The area is managed by E.n.c.i. and U.c.i.s. two accredited dog instructors and admission is free.

Varenna (LC)

The only dog-friendly beach on the eastern branch of Lake Como is located at the end of Viale dei Giardini, just before the tunnel that leads onto the SP 72 road, very close to Varenna.

Dogs are free to roam without muzzle and leash, provided that they are always under the supervision of their owner and a gate prevents dogs from running off towards the road.

Admission is free.


Fido Beach

Manerba del Garda (BS)

Fido Beach is located in Manerba del Garda, in Punta del Rio, very close to the Rocca di Manerba Nature Reserve, a stunning natural and archaeological park. The beach is well equipped for dogs and owners; dogs of all sizes are allowed and more than one is allowed per customer. Free access to the lake for swimming; dogs can roam free if they are trained and well-behaved.

The beach is managed by the Ca'Nina dog centre and is equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds, an area for dogs to roam free, plus, water bowls and mattresses. It is a pebble beach typical of this area of Lake Garda.

Peschiera del Garda

Beach with umbrellas and sunbeds to hire on the shores of Peschiera del Garda, one of the three major cities of Lake Garda. It lies along the southern shore, surrounded by meadows and woods. By renting a beach chair you can also have a free sun lounger and a welcome kit with bowl, cover, bags and mobile phone hanger. Showers are available, plus, a fenced areas for dog poops.


You can walk along the shore of Lake Maggiore with your 4-legged friends and let them free to splash in the water, without a leash and muzzle, in different areas.

This shady municipal dog beach is accessed from a convenient parking area.

Dogs and owners can relax under the trees on the beach and swim in the lake. Fully equipped with small bins that dispense poop bags. Deck chairs and umbrellas are available for hire.

Dogs are welcome on all beaches with the exception of the Cavallo and Villa Ada shorelines.

Dogs have free access at two spots on the beach below Camogno: in Cannero in via delle Magnolie, near the Hapimag residence marina and in Cannobio near the Cannobino stream.


Most of the beaches of Lake Idro are dog-friendly so there are lots of options.
