For two of the three Italian tour-dates, the Editors choose Milan. Obviously the venue, “the place to listen”, is the overwhelming Mediolanum Forum. The British band's European tour celebrates the release of the anthological album Black Gold, which celebrates the band's six albums with the addition of three new songs. The band that took its first steps in 2002 inside the classrooms of Staffordshire University, has been able to leave a mark in the indie-rock scene by merging the new wave styles of the Eighties with more electronic sounds up to Gothic nuances, as in the case of the dark sounds of the bonus-track Black Gold, which gives the title to the collection that celebrates the almost twenty years of career of the band that revolutionized the British indie-rock, never renouncing to hybridize with pop melodies. And climbing charts, as well as music stereotypes.
