Discover Milano with us

at 4pm - Palazzo Morando
Via Sant'Andrea 6

Come visit Palazzo Morando - Milano's museum of costume and fashion - with YesMilano Students!
Nothing better to celebrate the beginning of Milano Fashion Week.

Come discover the eighteenth-century residence located in the heart of Milano, a palace with a double identity as a stately home and a large art gallery dedicated to the iconography of the city. You'll get to see how iconic areas of Milano used to be and compare them to what they look like today.

Through the project Costume Moda Immagine at Palazzo Morando you'll also have the opportunity to explore the extraordinary heritage of costume and fashion of the City of Milano. Enjoy the exhibition Momenti di Moda ("Moments of Fashion"), a journey through the fashion history of the 20th century: from corsets to 90's overalls. You can't miss the welcome speech by the curator of the museum who will tell us all about this special exhibition opening in September.

Don't miss it! Sign up here.

Palazzo Morando

The palazzo’s architecture fully embodies the sixteenth-century style and heritage of the noble families who resided therein and it still beautifully retains all its unique characteristics.

It was only in 2010 that Palazzo Morando also became the premises of the Municipal Museum of Fashion and Costume at which point the palazzo adopted a dual role both as a large Pinacoteca picture gallery housing an important iconographic collection and as a palazzo which conserves and curates sumptuous and precious period costumes.
