A great choice of entertainment and exhibitions to start off 2022 optimistically, albeit with due caution, and to enjoy the last few days of the holidays.

The ever-popular sales at the beginning of January, the exhibitions about to end and new ones to be inaugurated, the stylish buzz of the Milano Moda Uomo menswear collections and a shortlist of shows to get you back into the swing after all the festivities.

SALES

From January 5th

The hectic sales period runs from January 5th to March 5th. The famous Fashion Quadrilateral and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II await you and offer affordable prices on luxury items. The glamorous shopping streets will entice you with incredible offers, and in the big-name stores such as La Rinascente there will be plenty of bargains not to be missed. You will be spoiled for choice!

SHOWS

January is officially Musicals Month, now an increasingly popular genre of entertainment in Milano as well.

You might want to check out our insider tips for this period, and we also suggest you keep your agenda up to date for the rest of the year.

  • TAM Teatro Arcimboldi Milano inaugurates the year with a fabulous playbill: Ghost the Musical will run from December 28th to January 9th 2022, romantic and sensual musical par excellence with an exceptionally talented cast.

  • From January 21st to 30th, the legendary quick-change performer Arturo Brachetti also features on the TAM playbill with his amazing surrealist and acrobatic one-man show.

  • Pretty Woman - ‘the’ iconic rags-to-riches rom-com - is also showing at the Teatro Nazionale until January 22nd in a vibrant pop version with excellent cast, staging, choreography and fabulous costumes. Buy your ticket here.

  • Alice! In Wonderland will enchant audiences at the Fabbrica del Vapore until March 20th, re-enacting the enchanted stories from Lewis Carroll's book. It features a fantastic original soundtrack composed by John Metcalfe with the title track sung by Elisa Toffoli. Buy your ticket here.

LAST CHANCE TO CATCH THESE EXHIBITIONS

Many exhibitions are about to end and it would be a real shame to miss any of these great opportunities: we suggest the four Renaissance masterpieces from Bergamo and Brescia (until January 16th at Palazzo Marino) and, until January 30th, the Monet and Corpus Domini exhibitions at Palazzo Reale, not forgetting, of course, Sotto il cielo di Nut. Egitto Divino (Under the Sky of Nut. Divine Egypt) at the Archaeological Museum.

However, you have time until February to see Cattelan at the Pirelli Hangar Bicocca (until February 20th) and don’t forget the Disney. L'arte di raccontare storie senza tempo (Disney. The Art of Telling Timeless Stories) exhibition at Mudec.

JANUARY IS FASHION MONTH - Moda Uomo and the Fashion Film Festival

From January 14th to 18th

In parallel with the Milano Fashion Week Men’s Collections the Milan Fashion Film Festival will also be held at Triennale di Milano.
