The Linate (LIN) airport, about 7 Km from the city center, has now become a true city airport, mainly designed for frequent flyers towards national and international destinations inside the EU.
Linate is the first airport in Europe where baggage is fully checked with TAC technology instead of X-rays. This means greater effectiveness in terms of security, waiting times and the possibility of assembly decrease, as does contact with surfaces. In addition, Face Boarding, the biometric technology based on the facial recognition system, is active on the route to and from Rome Fiumicino. At security checkpoints and boarding, passengers just need to show their face to the machine, without having to show their travel documents.
Inside there are structures and areas dedicated to business and shopping.
